James is a research programmer in the Cancer Research Division. At Cancer Council NSW, he has worked on development of the Policy-1 platform for both cervical cancer and lynch syndrome and uses Policy-1 to evaluate cervical cancer prevention strategies across many contexts, such as Australia, USA and Vietnam. James is also involved in the CISNET Cervical Cancer project, a collaborative modelling exercise between international research institutions, which has the aim of improving our understanding of cancer control interventions. Previously, he graduated with a double degree in engineering and economics from the Australian National University, with an honours thesis on modelling the cost-effectiveness of combining household photovoltaics with battery storage.
